The California Refuse Recycling Council

The California Refuse Recycling Council (CRRC - formerly The California Refuse Removal Council) was first organized in 1953 by several independent refuse associations in Northern and Southern California. These associations banded together for the first time to lead a fight against state legislation that would have cost the waste industry several hundreds of thousands of dollars statewide. Upon winning an exemption for our industry against this transportation legislation, these groups continued their association, which laid the groundwork for what CRRC represents today.
